David Vidos – Head Honcho

David Vidos is the successful founding director of NOVA iT GROUP from its inception in 2003.

David is passionate about building and maintaining tools that help level the playing field between small business and their larger competitors, through effective and efficient investment in information technology. Combining a mix of professional leadership and business strategy David will still get his hands dirty on the coal face when required.

David has over 20 years of experience consulting, project managing and designing solutions for clients across Australia.  As a product specialist David has helped clients such as the largest privately owned dental practice in Australia, The Age, The Times, Canon, and Xerox.

Most importantly David never loses site of meeting commitments to his and the NOVA iT teams promises.  He always acts with honesty, respect and integrity at all times. David is dependable, knowledgeable and most importantly: a huge success as Head Honcho of NOVA iT.

David lives in Melbourne with his better half Pauline, their two children and guard dog Poppy the Cavoodle.

David has a Diploma of Computer Systems, is a Microsoft Certified Professional and is a member and CEO of SMBiT Professionals an IT Industry association.


Ben – Support Engineer

Ben has more than 7 years’ experience, in support and application deployment and has worked closely with corporate and government IT departments and external providers during their solution implementation phases.

His specialties include Data mapping and extraction, SQL database administration, SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and Web technologies.

Ben’s training included Chemistry and Biological Science and is a Microsoft Certified Professional.

As an employee of NOVA iT, Ben is responsible for the deployment and continual improvement of NOVA Managed Anti-Virus, and providing iT support to all clients.


Kurtis – Support Engineer

Kurtis has more than 3 years of experience assisting clients with their technology needs.

Some of the technologies that Kurtis has worked with include Networking, Server and workstation environments, Anti-Virus systems, Email systems and POS (Point of Sale) systems.

Kurtis has an Advanced Diploma of Computer Science and is working on completing his Microsoft certifications.

As an employee of NOVA iT, Kurtis is responsible for liaising with clients when they call our helpdesk, ensuring we collect the relevant information to ensure a prompt resolution to our client’s issues.


Pauline – Office Administration

Pauline has over 18 years’ experience, in Accounts and Administrative management, including many working as a Dental Assistant and Practice Manager.

She has experience in accounts payable and receivables, debt collection, payroll and roster management, stock control, tax preparation, and liaising with suppliers.

Her many years in the Dental Industry helps NOVA ensure that our solutions are specifically tailored to the needs of the Dental practice and its productivity.

Client relationship management is a large part of her role as well as staff training coordinator.

Pauline has a Cert 4 in Administration and is a qualified Dental Assistant.


Richelle – Office Manager

Richelle has over 16 years’ experience in a wide range of Administration and Service roles over various industries including Security Systems, Real Estate, Primary Industries, Warehousing, Transport and Manufacturing.

She has experience in project management, reporting, accounts, debt collection, marketing, and liaising with suppliers.

Richelle is welcomed back to NOVA iT, bringing with her  a strong customer service focus and will go the extra mile to help our customers and support our team.

Richelle is trained in First Aid and a Green Belt in Zen Do Kai which helps if invoices become overdue 🙂


Slade – Support Manager / Dental iT Guru

Slade has more than 10 years of experience assisting clients with their technology needs, after starting his career in Software Development, following his Bachelor of Computer Science. Slade comes in from his own dental IT company, having recently sold it.

During his time running a dental IT company, he gained vast experience establishing and maintaining dental networks, and working closely with Centaur Software (Dental4Windows), Software of Excellence (Exact and Oasis) practice management systems. Additionally, Slade worked through the IT design for dental practices across Victoria, and assisted in the project management of the IT systems, integrating with all major dental vendors, including Sirona (Sidexis), Carestream (Kodak), Henry Schein Halas (Planmecca, Gendex, KaVo and others) Acteon (Sopro and PSPix), Duerr (VistaScan) and other imaging applications such as ExaminePro, and Centaur MediaSuite

Aside from dental technology, Slade also supported a multitude of small to medium business clients, working with technologies such as Networking, Firewalls, Server and workstation environments, Remote Access Servers, Backup/Disaster Recovery, Email systems and Virtualisation using VMware.


Ebony – Office Coordinator

Ebony came to us from the hospitality industry with 3 years of Customer Service experience.  She is a fast learner and takes pleasure in learning new things and helping people.  She has been the first person you will speak to at NOVA iT for a while now.  She is also the person you should be nice to as she is in charge of dispatching the technicians.


Tony – Support Engineer

Tony has over nine years’ experience in the iT industry. He has run his own iT business and was the Service Manager for an authorised Apple repairer bringing an extensive understanding of Apple products ranging from your humble iPhone through to Mac OS X Servers and networking, as well as GSuite.


Ron – HelpDesk Support

Ron has been assisting clients with their IT issues since 2013.  His experience covers computer hardware, software, printer maintenance and troubleshooting, networking and database administration.

Also server and workstation patching policies and issues. Having experience with a wide range of operating systems, from Server 2003 to 2016 and Windows 7 to 10.


Andrew – HelpDesk Support

Andrew has been identifying, diagnosing and resolving IT issues since 2014.  His areas of expertise are user accounts, printers, Office Suite,  Outlook, Office 365, hardware, software and networking issues.

Also having skills in system administration, patch management and documentation.


Leigh – HelpDesk and Onsite Support

Leigh has 5 years of IT experience and has worked as a customer support manager and as a helpdesk analyst supporting varies clients.

He has experience in XP through to Win 10 as well as being certified as a Microsoft Technical Associate (MTA).

Before he followed his passion for IT, he was a personal lending manager and derivatives trader – Sorry, but he will not be able to provide financial advice (smile)

His combination of IT skills and customer management experience will only add to our already great customer helpdesk experience.


Ann – Sales Support

Ann has 10 years of customer service (retention, support) and Sales experience.  She has a knack for understanding customer needs and requirements from a non technical point of view. (a welcomed change from our clients having to deal with our tech speak  (smile))

In the past Ann has been awarded “Best Sales agent” – 3 quarters in a row and “Best in Cross Sell & Upsell” – which shows she has a deep understanding of the companies products and what can improve the clients systems and business.

Along with helping to improve our responsiveness to new quotation requests, Ann will also be reviewing our clients to determine what products or services we offer that they are not taking advantage of.
